For the wholemeal banana cake, melt butter and cream with maple syrup and pinch of salt. Mash bananas with rum and lemon juice and add as well. V

oll grain flour mix with baking powder, add nuts. Mix both masses and pour into a well greased loaf pan sprinkled with flour or nuts and bake slowly at 160 degrees for about an hour.

Test with a stick and turn the cake out of the pan while it is still hot (be careful not to break it!) and let it cool on a cooling rack.
