Instructions:

For the barley soup, lightly simmer the barley in water for about 1 hour (add more water if necessary).

Add the smoked pork ribs. Add the leek cut into small rings and the sliced carrots and cook for another 1/2 hour.

Season with bouillon cubes, salt and pepper.
