A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Note on vanilla sugar: Vanilla sugar is simply one or two vanilla beans, either slit lengthwise or just cut into pieces, put into a container with fine sugar. Leave for 2-3 weeks. You can always refill the sugar and use the same vanilla beans for several months.

Preheat the stove to 150 degrees.

Cook the linguine for about 8 min until a tiny bit softer than al dente. Drain into a colander and cool.

Stir vanilla sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla pulp and liqueur thoroughly. Stir the cherries, candied lemon peel, cinnamon and chocolate into the egg mixture. Add the pasta and mix well.

Pour the mixture into a well-greased large baking or tart pan and bake for 30 minutes.
