A great cake recipe for any occasion:

A simple cake recipe, from an excellent cook from Intragna.

(*) For a cake springform pan of 26 cm ø Cream the butter with the sugar, egg yolks and grated lemon zest. Mix in the juice of one lemon and the cornmeal.

Whip the egg whites until stiff and fold them in precisely.

Butter the cake springform pan and dust with flour. Pour in the mixture and bake in the oven at 150 degrees for sixty minutes. Cool.

Spread the apricot jam through a sieve and warm it up. Brush the cake with it and dust with plenty of powdered sugar.
