For the toast langos, first prepare a dampfl: Put half of the flour and lukewarm milk in a bowl and crumble in the yeast. Cover with a tea towel and let it rise in a warm place until it has about doubled in volume. Then add remaining flour, remaining milk and a pinch of salt to the dampfl and knead into a smooth dough. Cover again and let rise for 30 minutes.

Form the langos dough into a roll on a floured work surface and cut off pieces. Roll into round patties with rolling pin and top each patty with ham and cheese. Gently roll up the patties.

Heat plenty of oil in a deep skillet and fry the toast langos until floating. For the garlic oil, chop the garlic cloves very finely and mix with oil and salt. Brush the drained toast langos with the garlic oil.
