Instructions:

For sweet and sour pickled plums, bring sugar and red wine vinegar to a boil with cloves and cinnamon. Let cool and pour over the plums, let stand for one night.

Strain the juice, boil again and remove any foam. Pour lukewarm over the plums again and let stand overnight.

The next day, bring everything to the boil, remove the fruit after 5 minutes, and boil the juice some more.

Fill cooled plums into clay pots, pour cooled juice over them and close.

Store sweet and sour vinegar plums in a cool place.
