For Stuffed Tomatoes, cut a lid off the tomatoes, remove the seeds and season the inside a little with salt. Place in a buttered baking dish.

To prepare the stuffing, sauté shallots and garlic in warm olive oil. Add herbs and breadcrumbs and saute. Remove from heat, mix in the remaining ingredients, season with salt and pepper, and stuff into the tomatoes.

Put the tomato lids on and bake for about 45 minutes in the preheated oven at 180 °C on the middle shelf.

Serve stuffed tomatoes as an appetizer or side dish.
