Warm and cooled a delicious snack! Cheese-filled jalapenos are a delicious entrée or snack, which are available not only in the U.S., but – at least in Mexican and trendy restaurants – in the meantime just as in this country, commercially among other things in breaded give as “Poppers”(R) . The refined version presented here comes from Sandra Killion from New Mexico, the spicy morsels taste warm or cooled.

Rinse jalapenos, cut in half lengthwise, and remove seeds and partitions.

Spread cream cheese into pepper halves (either leave pods halved or repeatedly combine two halves each to make a whole pod).

Wrap half peppers or peppers that have been repeatedly joined together with a strip of bacon about 10 cm long, shape into paper baking cups and place on a baking sheet (also place parchment paper underneath).

Bake in heated stove over medium heat until bacon is cooked through (if cheese cooks out of pods while baking, reduce heat). This will take about 30 to 45 min. Then cool and bring to table.

Scoop out pods, fill with cheese and wrap with bacon.

Then off to the stove and bake until the bacon is crispy.

How much cream cheese you need depends on the amount of filling you prefer. Alternatively, you can use low-fat cream cheese. And in case you do not like cream cheese, you can of course use another cheese for filling.
