Instructions:

Divide the baguette into two pieces and scoop out the soft bread crumb with a spoon.

Dice the ham. Clean the spring onions, rinse, pat dry and cut into fine rings.

Cut the Gouda into small cubes. Blanch (scald) the tomatoes with boiling water, cool and peel off the skins. Cut the tomatoes in half and remove the seeds, then cut them into small cubes and mix them with the other prepared ingredients.

Season the mixture with salt, bell pepper and paprika powder and fill it into the hollowed out baguette halves.

Put the breads on an ovenproof plate, place the broiler on the top rack of the oven and cook for 7-9 minutes at microwave power 360 watts and strong grill setting until the cheese in the filling has melted.

Serve the baguette halves hot. Serve with a slightly chilled rosé wine.

Instead of ham you can also use canned tuna. Mix the tuna with the tomatoes and a bunch of chives.
