Briefly rinse strawberries under cold water. De-husk. Drain very well. Sugar and soak. Large strawberries should cut them in half.
During this time, cook the vanilla sauce. To do this, bring the milk to a boil with sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Mix vanilla pudding powder with egg yolks and 2 tablespoons of cold water. Add to the boiling milk while stirring. Bring to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the stove. Whip egg whites with sugar until stiff. Fold into the sauce. Place the sauce in cold water and cool. Stir occasionally to prevent a skin from forming.
Fill strawberries into four bowls. Pour vanilla sauce on top or offer separately.
