For the casserole, wash the meat, pat dry and cut into approx. 3 cm cubes. Put the cubes in a narrow pot as high as possible.

Add the sliced onions and spices and pour in enough water to just cover everything.

Cover and cook slowly over medium heat. If necessary, season the casserole at the end.
