Pasta dishes are just always delicious!

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Thinly grease a deep gratin dish.

Beat the creamy butter and cream cheese in a large baking bowl until smooth.

Fold in the cottage cheese and eggs, then leisurely fold in the milk.

Fold in lemon zest and juice, scallions, perhaps raisins, salt and pepper to taste, and nutmeg. Add pasta and toss to mix well.

Pour into gratin dish and bake for 1 hour, until mixture is set and top is risen and golden brown. Remove from pan to table hot or cooled.

Bake and turn out onto a serving platter. Cut into rectangles to serve.

Info: A kugel is a baked casserole that is exceptionally popular among Eastern European Jews. Traditionally, the kugel was baked in its own give in or possibly next to a cholent, and then served as a side dish or possibly following with pickled vegetables. Noodle balls can also be prepared with sugar and fresh or dried fruit and served as a dessert. Kugels with cheese are served as a side dish or possibly as a dairy main course on Shavuot.
