For savory muffins, grease the silicone molds well. Cut the tomatoes and mozzarella into small cubes and meanwhile melt the butter.

Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl and mix in nutmeg. In a small bowl, mix the egg, milk and cooled butter well and stir this mixture into the flour mixture.

Stir just until ingredients are well combined. (Be careful not to let the butter get too warm). Now add tomatoes and mozzarella and stir briefly.

Depending on the size, fill the batter into the muffin cups (do not fill too full, otherwise the batter will overflow during baking) and bake the muffins at approx. 200 °C for 10 – 15 minutes until golden brown.

Remove the muffins from the oven and let them rest for about 5 minutes. Then carefully press them out of the muffins.
