Instructions:

For the spare ribs from the oven, prepare the barbecue sauce at the beginning. For this, finely dice the onion, add the crushed garlic and all the other ingredients for the sauce and simmer in a low saucepan at low temperature for 15 minutes. Stir again and again and season with pepper and Worcestershire sauce.

Briefly rinse the ribs with cold water and pat dry with kitchen paper. Then line a deep baking tray with aluminum foil, grease it and place the spare ribs on it. Cook in the preheated oven at 180 °C, convection oven 160 °C, gas mark 2 for one hour.

Then brush the ribs with the sauce and let them bubble for another 10 to 20 minutes, repeating the brushing with sauce again and again.

Separate the spare ribs from the oven into portions and serve.
