For the spaghetti with tomatoes and capers, cut the tomatoes into quarters and sauté in a pan with the onion and garlic. Season with pepper and salt and keep stirring until the tomatoes become mushy. Stir the capers into the sauce and remove the pan from the heat.

Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water until al dente. Keep stirring the pasta so that it does not stick together during the cooking process. Drain the water and add the spaghetti to the sauce and mix well.

Finish the spaghetti with tomatoes and capers with butter and basil, sprinkle with parmesan and serve.
