Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Drain the corn kernels. Fry the bacon and put it in an ovenproof dish with the bacon fat. Chop the onion into small cubes. Melt the butter (1), fry the onion cubes in it until translucent, sprinkle the flour over it and pour in the milk. Season the sauce with salt, mustard, paprika and sugar and cook for 5 minutes. Mix the egg yolks and fold them into the sauce. Remove the sauce from the stove. Cut the toast into cubes, toast them in butter (2) until golden brown, mix them with the corn kernels and the sauce and fill them on the bacon slices. Mix the breadcrumbs with the cheese, sprinkle over the casserole and place the butter (3) in flakes on top. Bake the casserole in the oven for about 20 minutes.

Our tip: Use a bacon with a strong flavor – this will give this dish a special touch!
