Instructions:

Prepare bread dough from baking mix according to package instructions.

Roll out dough.

Product knowledge Selchkaree: Selchkaree is cured, then lightly smoked pork loin. Selchkaree is a fast roast: 1 kg needs only 1 hour. Do not season selchkaree with salt!

Separate egg and brush the edges of the dough with egg white. Fold dough around the selchkaree and press well until smooth. Mix the egg yolks and brush the dough with them. Bake in a heated oven at 200 °C (gas mark 3) for about 45-50 minutes.

Tip: To allow the steam to escape, make a “chimney” at the top of the dough. So that it does not become too baked, reinforce the opening with aluminum foil or use a cookie cutter.

Preparation of Brussels sprouts: clean, rinse, maybe cut in half. heat clear soup in a saucepan, add Brussels sprouts and cook with lid closed for 15 min. Season with salt and pepper.

Product information: Even cooked, Brussels sprouts still contain an extraordinary amount of vitamin C (87 mg/100 g), e.g. significantly more than oranges (50 mg) and twice as much as grapefruit (44 mg), as well as important minerals such as magnesium, potassium, calcium and iron.

Tip: Score Brussels sprouts crosswise on the stem, then they cook through more evenly.
