A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Cream hand-warm butter, egg yolks and powdered sugar until thick, add chocolate warmed to lip temperature. Beat egg whites with granulated sugar until stiff peaks form. Mix the snow with the egg whites and carefully fold in the breadcrumbs. Wrap the sides of the springform pan with parchment paper or use a cake pan.

Fill quantity into the mold, spreading quantity slightly outward, creating a bulge. Bake in heated oven, turn off tube and pull quantity for 10 min more. Cool cake, remove paper.

Cut cake horizontally in the middle, fill with jam and assemble repeatedly. Coat the top and sides of the cake with a very thin layer of jam, glaze with tempered icing on a glazing grid.

Oven temperature: 180 °C – Baking time: about 1 hour.
