Instructions:

Pour water into a tray, put ham on it, cover with aluminum foil. Cook at 150 °C for about one hour.

Increase oven temperature to 240 degrees. Make small punctures in the fat layer of the ham with a utility knife, insert the cloves. Mix beer, mustard, soy sauce and honey, season. Coat the ham with half of the mixture. Mix oil and salt in a larger baking bowl, add potatoes, add apples and spread evenly on baking sheet. Put in the oven for about ten minutes.

Brush apples and potatoes with remaining liquid. Approx.

ten minutes more (mix potatoes and apples), reduce temperature to 180 °C, remove leg ham and leave for ten minutes. Roast potatoes and apples for about ten minutes.

Serve: Arrange ham slices on potato/apple slices, reduce roasting liquid to desired thickness of sauce, spread evenly around dish.

Tip: It is best to use your favorite ham – then your dish will taste twice as good!
