Peel the potatoes, grate finely on a grater, season with salt and pepper. Heat some butter in a frying pan. For each pancake put a heaped tablespoon of potato dough into the hot fat form, smooth a little bit. Roast over medium heat for about 5 min. When the edges of the dough are golden brown, turn the pancakes to the other side and continue roasting for about 3 min. Keep finished pancakes warm in heated oven. Stir sour cream or crème fraiche until smooth and perhaps season lightly with salt. Put a heaped teaspoon of sour cream or crème fraiche and a small amount of caviar on each hot pancake. Garnish with dill.
