For the potato and bacon pan, wash the potatoes thoroughly, cut in half if necessary, and coarsely dice the bacon and onions. Lightly grease the pan and render the bacon until crisp.

Add onions and then fry potatoes, tossing frequently. Season, shortly before the end – potatoes are almost cooked – add cleaned and chopped mushrooms, toss briefly and sprinkle with thyme leaves.
