For the pineapple sauerkraut, melt the lard and pour the sauerkraut loosely and in layers into a pot with the pineapple cut into pieces.

Cover the layered mixture just with wine-water and sprinkle with half a tablespoon of sugar. Let cook slowly.

Peel the potato and grate into the cabbage, mix well, cook for another 5 minutes.
