Hardly a little bit dine toddlers (and also adult foodies) rather than pancakes. If these are then also topped with cherries, the pancake peak is actually reached.

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg yolks until creamy, then carefully add the flour and sugar. Add milk and water, stir until smooth, season with salt. Whip egg whites to egg whites, fold in, heat 1 tablespoon butter in frying pan, add a quarter of the batter. Spread a quarter of the cherries evenly on top, sprinkle with 50 g of rusk. Bake the bottom side until golden, then carefully turn the pancake to the other side using a lid. Bake. Slide onto a plate. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake three more pancakes.

Ps: The topping does not necessarily have to be cherries. Blueberries, raspberries, as well as apricots or currants taste just as good.
