For the onion soup with mozzarella baguette, first peel and chop the onions.

Melt butter in a pot, add sugar and fry the onions in it. Stir in flour and continue to fry. Deglaze with the wine and pour in the soup. Add bay leaf, salt and pepper and simmer for about 30 minutes.

In the meantime, slice the baguette and the mozzarella. Place one slice of mozzarella on each piece of baguette. Using the oven’s grill function, bake just until the mozzarella has melted.

Serve the onion soup with mozzarella baguette.
