For the onion nut butter, chop the onions and garlic very finely and fry in half the margarine until golden.

Chop nuts very finely with marjoram, thyme and bay leaf. Add nut mixture, germ flakes and vegetable broth powder to onions and stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes.

Remove the pot from the heat and stir the water and remaining margarine into the warm mixture.

Season the onion-nut butter with pepper. Leave to infuse in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.
