A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Preheat oven to 160 °C

Mix yogurt with semolina and soak for about 30-40 minutes.

Mix well with sugar, vanilla sugar and egg yolks. Whisk egg whites with salt until stiff, add snow to egg yolk mixture, mix well, add flour and baking powder, bring water to boil, add half of flour by tablespoonfuls, then add hot water in 2-3 stages, stirring well each time. Fold in remaining flour.

Bake in a greased ring mold sprinkled with breadcrumbs at 160 °C a 75 min, stand 15 min in the turned off oven. Serve sprinkled with 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar.

Nutritional values: total cake: 3300kcal, 51g fat = 13, 9% – per piece at 20 pieces: 165kcal, 2.55g fat

This cake is the universal sponge cake of my mother-in-law and can also be very well modified with raisins, or with cocoa in a third of the dough as marble cake, or with nuts (probably no more lf, one would have to calculate first) as nut cake (replace flour with nuts).
