For the nut hearts, first make the shortcrust pastry. To do this, quickly knead all the ingredients together. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 170 °C and line a baking tray with baking paper.

On a floured work surface, roll the dough thinly. Cut out large cookies with a heart cutter. Cut out a smaller heart in the center of half of the hearts. Place the cookies on the baking sheet.

Whisk the remaining egg yolk and brush it on the hearts with the hole. Sprinkle the hazelnuts on top.

Bake the nut hearts for 10-12 minutes. Let them cool down. In the meantime, stir the jam until smooth and put together one heart with a hole and one without. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
