For the muffins with chocolate filling, first preheat the oven to 180 °C. Line a muffin tray with paper cups or grease.

Beat the sugar, vanilla extract, salt and butter until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs and continue beating.

Sift flour with cocoa powder and baking powder. Quickly fold into the batter. Pour the batter into the muffin cups about one-third full. Make an indentation in the center.

Melt the chocolate over a water bath. Pour into the indentations in the muffin batter. Then fill the cups about 3/4 full.

Bake for about 30-40 minutes. It is best to serve the muffins with chocolate filling immediately, so that the chocolate center is still liquid.
