Try this delicious cake recipe:

Beat butter (1) until creamy, separate eggs. Gradually add lemon zest, sugar, egg yolks, juice of one lemon and stir through.

Mix curd cheese with semolina, flour and baking powder and incorporate. Whip egg whites with salt to stiff peaks, mix gently.

Grease the cake springform pan, pour in the batter. Bake the cake in the heated oven at 180 degrees for about 45 to 60 minutes. While still hot, brush with melted butter, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Refine the cake with raisins, rum, ground almonds or cover with chocolate icing after baking.
