Meatballs with Peanut Sauce

Instructions:

* Mix 4-6 people minced meat with half the amount of garlic, coriander and fish sauce. Knead into a smooth dough. Arrange meatballs with moistened hands.

Fry the meatballs in hot oil until golden brown (approx. 5 min).

Remove from frying pan and keep warm. Drain oil and pour about two tablespoons back into frying pan.

Brown remaining garlic with ginger and chili pepper for one minute, add fish sauce, cilantro, peanut butter, coconut cream and sugar and stir sauce over medium heat until thickened. Add in the chopped basil .

Offer the meatballs on a platter and offer the sauce for them.

Cilantro is used extensively in Thai cooking. Roots, leaves and stems are used in curry pastes and spicy sauces. Since the aroma of coriander is not to everyone’s liking, it can be omitted ditto.
