Instructions:

For the meatballs, freeze the mozzarella briefly, as it is very soft. Then divide it into small pieces.

For the filling of the meatballs, finely grind oatmeal in a blitz chopper and mix with the eggs, ketchup and milk and spices. Pluck thyme sprigs and add leaves to the mixture.

Finely chop the onion and add. Knead in the meat. Roll the pieces of buffalo mozzarella in the meat dough as if you were stuffing dumplings.

Heat the oil in the deep fryer and deep fry five balls at a time – there should be 10 in total. This takes about 5 to 7 min.
