For the mashed potatoes, first peel and cut the potatoes and put them in a pot with water. After about 15 minutes, strain the peeled and cut potatoes and cook them in a saucepan with salted water until soft.

To check this, pierce the pieces of potatoes with a fork. If they fall apart, the potatoes are soft enough and the water can be strained.

Mash the potatoes with a masher. Then stir in half the milk, salt and butter. Gradually add the remaining milk.

If the puree has already reached the desired consistency, less milk is enough, if not, add some more milk to taste. Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry.

Arrange the mashed potatoes and spread the fried bacon on top.
