For the marzipan hearts, prepare the shortcrust pastry from flour, nuts, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, butter and yolks and let rest for 1 hour. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out hearts. Place the hearts on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake until light (at approx. 160°C for approx. 10 minutes).

Roll out marzipan paste thinly on powdered sugar and cut out hearts as well. Spread the dough heart halves with jam and place the marzipan heart on top. Coat the marzipan hearts with chocolate icing and top with walnut halves or decorate in other ways.
