For the marble cake, first mix the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar for 15 minutes. Mix the flour with the baking powder. Then add the egg yolks, milk and flour mixture. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in carefully.

Add the cocoa to half of the dough. Grease the baking pan with butter and fill in the doughs alternately, so that later a nice pattern is formed. Bake at moderate heat for about 1 hour. Test with chopsticks. Let the marble cake cool before removing it from the pan.
