For the lemon almond cake, preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Line a loaf pan with baking paper. Put flour, almond flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

Add butter and sugar as well and mix well for about 3 minutes. Gradually add the eggs until everything is incorporated and the dough is fluffy.

Now mix in the lemon shavings, lemon juice and almond extract. Finally, mix in the almond flakes. Pour the dough into the loaf pan and bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees for about 50-60 minutes.

From 50 minutes baking time keep an eye on the cake and make the wooden stick test. Then let the lemon almond cake cool completely in the mold.

Then melt the chocolate bars in a water bath and decorate the lemon almond cake with them. Let the chocolate dry before cutting the cake.
