Pasta dishes are always a good idea!

Fold apart the uncooked katajef.

Grease a gratin dish with clarified butter and cover with a layer of katajef the width of a finger. Flatten a little bit with your hand.

Cut mozzarella cheese into slices and place on top of katajef. Put another layer of katajef on top of the mozzarella cheese and cover with butter lard flakes. Bring 100 ml of water and sugar to the boil, thicken to syrup and season with a little lemon juice.

Preheat the oven to 150 °C and cook the dessert for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the heat and drizzle with the sugar solution as desired.
