For the cheese dumplings, finely chop the parsley, finely dice the Gouda and the onion as well. Put the white bread cubes, parsley and cheese in a bowl. Sauté the onion in 1 tablespoon of butter until translucent.

Add milk and season with salt and pepper. Add mixture to bread cubes, add flour and eggs. Knead lightly. In a non-stick pan, heat half the amount of butter and half the amount of oil.

Form a large loaf from the bread mixture and place in the pan, press down and brown well then turn over while adding the remaining oil and butter to the pan.

Press again and add the lid on top, brown well.
