Cut the meat into cubes and fry in hot oil for about 10 min. Remove the skin from the onions, chop, add and roast for another 5 min. Add the garlic cloves through a press, after another 5 min just cover with water. Cook everything for about 20 min at low heat.

In the meantime, cut the ready-to-cook tomatoes and peppers into slices, quarter the beets lengthwise and cut them into pieces about 3-4 cm long.

Add the peas, the tomato puree and the prepared vegetables to the meat. Season everything together lightly with salt and season with pepper and cook for about 45 minutes with the lid closed. Bring to the table hot.

Hirsotto or polenta are suitable as an accompaniment.
