For the birthday cake, wash the raisins and dry them well. Then cover with the rum and let stand overnight. Cream the sugar with the butter, add the eggs and the salt and stir in.

Remove 2 tablespoons of the flour and set aside. Mix the remaining flour with the baking powder and sift over the foam mixture. Dust the rum raisins with the set aside flour and add them as well.

Now mix everything well and add enough milk so that the dough falls from the spoon with difficulty tearing. Pour the dough into a cake pan and bake at 170 °C convection oven for about 70 minutes (test with a stick).

Cool the finished cake slightly, then remove it from the pan and let it cool on a cooling rack. Place a candle in the center of the cake, protected with a napkin.
