For grain tip dig a well in the flour, crumble yeast into it, pour 1 tablespoon warm water over it and let it melt. Stir in all other ingredients, adding the water last. Knead until a medium firm but soft dough is formed. Cover dough and let rise for about 30 minutes.

Then divide the dough into equal-sized pieces and shape into oblong rolls. Let the finished rolls rise for another 15 minutes. Brush the surface with lukewarm water and sprinkle with sesame, sunflower or pumpkin seeds. Bake the Kornspitze in the preheated oven at 210 °C for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
