A great cake recipe for any occasion:

“Christmas Holiday Menu – Dessert” Mix the butter together with the sugar in a baking bowl until thoroughly blended. Add the egg yolks and stir through as well. Add the gingerbread crumbs to the butter and egg mixture form. Whip the egg whites together with the remaining sugar until stiff peaks form, then carefully fold them into the gingerbread mixture. Butter the ramekins and sprinkle sugar over the sides. Pour the mixture into the ramekins and then place them in a gratin dish filled with a tiny bit of water. Bake in a heated kitchen oven at 180 °C for 30 minutes. Remove the peel from the oranges and carefully remove the fillets. Gradually caramelize the sugar in a saucepan. Extinguish with the orange juice. Add the cloves and the cinnamon stick. When the caramel has dissolved, stir the wheat starch with the liqueur and add to the boiling orange juice form. When set, remove from the heat. Add the orange fillets.

Turn the gingerbread out of the molds onto a plate and dust with powdered sugar. Arrange the spiced oranges on it.
