Try this delicious cake recipe:

Blanch (scald) the almond kernels, peel and finely grate. Finely grate the hazelnuts as well. Sift the flour onto a baking tray, add the almond kernels and sugar, salt, hazelnuts, the cold butter in flakes and the yolks and knead everything together into a smooth shortcrust pastry. Wrap the dough in aluminum foil and let it rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Preheat the oven to 190 °C.

Form the dough in portions into pencil-thick rolls. Cut the rolls into 5 cm long pieces and bend into croissants (horns). Bake on the middle rack for 10 minutes until golden brown.

Mix the vanilla sugar with the powdered sugar and carefully turn the still warm croissants to the other side.
