A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Roll out the dough to a rectangle about 3mm thick. Cut three long strips, about 10cm wide. Spread with warmed jam.

Mix cream, hazelnuts, sugar and raisins and spread evenly on the three strips, spreading smoothly, about 1cm from the edge free. Brush the edge with water and roll up the strips lengthwise. Press the edges well.

Braid the rolls into a plait and place in the prepared ring mold, seam always down. Brush with a small amount of egg yolk. Let rise again for about 30 minutes.

Bake in a heated oven at 200 °C for about 45 minutes.

For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar, water and the juice of one lemon. While still hot, coat the wreath with the cold icing and sprinkle with almond flakes.
