Instructions:

(*) Okra: widespread in the tropics, light green to purple-red, approximately finger-length, cylindrical fruit with a pointed end. Okra gives sauces their characteristic slimy consistency. Okra is also called gombo or ladyfinger.

Boil water with soda, add okra and cook on low fire for 25 min until okra is soft.

Lightly fry onion in oil, add to okra along with tomatoes.

Season with salt and freshly ground pepper and cook on low fire for 15 minutes.

Okra is served with sadza.
