A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Finely slice bread and soak in hot milk. Separate the eggs. Mix yolks, sugar, butter and vanilla sugar or vanilla pod pulp until creamy and mix well with the bread.

Add the currants and finally fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.

Fill into a large or several small souffl, molds and bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees for 40 minutes.
