Instructions:

For the curd strudel, cream butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt until fluffy.

Mix the breadcrumbs and custard powder and add to the butter mixture, alternately stir in the curd cheese and eggs and season with lemon juice and rum. Briefly boil the raisins with rum and water and let stand. Remove the raisins from the stock and stir into the curd mixture. Spread the mixture on the lower third of the strudel dough, roll it up, brush with butter and bake the curd cheese strudel in the oven at 160 °C for about 30 – 40 minutes.
