For the curd casserole, mix butter with sugar until the mixture becomes light in color. Gradually add the yolks, stirring constantly. Mix the curd into the batter, add flour and vanilla sugar.

Finally, carefully fold in the beaten egg whites. Butter a pan and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, pour in the mixture and bake at medium heat for about 40 minutes.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
