For the cream of pumpkin soup, peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds and cut into rough cubes. Dice the onion and sauté in butter.

Add pumpkin pieces, sauté briefly and stir through. Pour in vegetable soup and whipped cream. Add cayenne pepper and some cinnamon. Simmer until the pumpkin pieces are soft (about 15 min.).

Puree with a hand blender, then bring to the boil again and stir in a few drops of lemon juice.

Season to taste with salt. Serve with pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oil.
