For the cream of celery soup with cheese toasts, first peel and finely chop the onion. Peel the celery and cut into cubes.

Melt the butter in a pot and fry the onion cubes in it. Add the celery and sauté. Pour in the soup and simmer until the celery is soft. Puree finely and stir in half of the whipped cream. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Sprinkle the slices of toast with the grated cheese and bake using the oven’s broil function just until the cheese has melted. Cut in half diagonally.

Whip the remaining whipped cream.

Serve the soup with a dollop of whipped cream. Serve cream of celery soup with cheese toasts.
