Instructions:

1. put all the ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved 2. let the mixture bubble and simmer gently with the lid closed, stirring occasionally, for about an hour, until the mixture has thickened and no more liquid settles 3. pour the chutney into preheated, clean jars and close tightly with twist-off lids 4. ripen in the jar for at least two months until opened.

Keep cooled, dry and dark.

Tip: This chutney tastes excellent with ripe Camenbert and hard cheeses, smoked lamb, poultry, ham and game.

Tip: Always use an aromatic ham, it will give your dish a wonderful touch!
